Welcome to Dr. Westermann's practice, which serves children, adolescents, adults and families in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. The mission of the practice is to provide psychiatric care that enhances the emotional well being, growth and development, and functioning of children, adolescents and adults. Clinical services for children, adolescents and adults include diagnostic evaluations, special evaluations, individual psychotherapy, consultation to schools and organizations, and psychopharmacological intervention.
Dr. Westermann diagnoses and treats many common psychiatric conditions including Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders (including Separation Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety and Panic Disorder), Autism Spectrum Disorders, Specific Learning Disorders and Educational Challenges, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Tourette’s Disorder and Parent-Child Relational Problems. She specializes in helping patients who have psychiatric illnesses as well as academic challenges. When appropriate, there is collaboration with other professionals who may be on the patient’s treatment team.
